2024年旱季，Michael Zhan 沿着澜沧江进入横断山脉的褶皱地带，走访供应普洱茶贸易的小型编织合作社。他的任务是寻找一种比亚麻包裹组更柔软、更经得起日常折叠的布料 — 既能反复折放，又必须透气。这趟寻觅将他带到景迈山上的一座家庭工坊，那里世世代代以手工织造棉布，使用的是梯田山坡有机种植的「Xianshuang」长绒棉。纺纱女工手工捻纱，再以传统木织机织造，产出的布料比亚麻更轻更滑，但同样耐用。
Michael 选择了天然未经漂白的布料，并用泉水预洗以去除残留的淀粉，使布料一拆封即具备舒适的使用感。每块35公分见方的布巾均手工裁切、手工缝边，采用简单的双折边设计，不易散边。一套六片，足以包裹一整筒茶饼，或让布巾在两次使用之间交替晾晒。这是一份低调的茶事配件 — 尊重传统以透气布帛包裹茶饼的惯习，却在实用性上完全现代化。合作社也因此受益：这项计划在农闲期间为十六位妇女提供稳定收入 — Michael 坚持这份细节应该成为每块售出布巾故事的一部分。
