2024年旱季，Michael Zhan 沿著瀾滄江進入橫斷山脈的褶皺地帶，走訪供應普洱茶貿易的小型編織合作社。他的任務是尋找一種比亞麻包裹組更柔軟、更經得起日常折疊的布料 — 既能反覆折放，又必須透氣。這趟尋覓將他帶到景邁山上的一座家庭工坊，那裡世世代代以手工織造棉布，使用的是梯田山坡有機種植的「Xianshuang」長絨棉。紡紗女工手工捻紗，再以傳統木織機織造，產出的布料比亞麻更輕更滑，但同樣耐用。
Michael 選擇了天然未經漂白的布料，並用泉水預洗以去除殘留的澱粉，使布料一拆封即具備舒適的使用感。每塊35公分見方的布巾均手工裁切、手工縫邊，採用簡單的雙摺邊設計，不易散邊。一套六片，足以包裹一整筒茶餅，或讓布巾在兩次使用之間交替晾曬。這是一份低調的茶事配件 — 尊重傳統以透氣布帛包裹茶餅的慣習，卻在實用性上完全現代化。合作社也因此受益：這項計畫在農閒期間為十六位婦女提供穩定收入 — Michael 堅持這份細節應該成為每塊售出布巾故事的一部分。
