2025年暮春，Michael Zhan 花了整整一周，在昆明近郊一个小型纺织区的狭窄巷弄中穿梭。他要找的不是茶，而是用来包裹茶的布。这里的小作坊世代印制着保护云南最珍贵普洱茶饼的包装纸 — 而 Michael 要找的，是仍在使用铁基墨水、并印在未漂白亚麻布上的匠人，这样的搭配会与茶叶本身一起随着时间慢慢陈化。结果，他在一间家族经营的木版印花工作坊找到了一台可追溯至1920年代的单台铁制印压机。这位第三代匠人师傅，在工作坊旁种了一座小小的单丛茶树花园；我们布面上的枝叶图案，正是从其中一棵茶树上素描而来。Michael 与师傅共同调整设计，使其能够运用于饼茶与沱茶两种包裹布，确保28公分的布料足以包覆较小、较厚实的沱茶，而不致多余太多布料。每一块布都是在常温下用含铁染料印制，干燥后氧化成深炭灰色，再经一次水洗固色。最终的作品不仅是一件装饰品 — 它成为茶叶自身故事的一部分，随着每次使用而变得更深、更柔软，恰如它包裹的茶叶。

The drape is pliant enough to fold tidily around a 100g or 250g cake, yet firm enough to hold a simple twine tie. The 28cm diagonal gives generous overlap without bulk.

The cloth’s heft is modest but certain in the hand — the iron‑ink design endures through countless wrappings, acquiring a softer patina over time.
